The Door To Your Heart

Bible Reading:   Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

As a young girl in Sunday School there was a picture that hung on the wall that I remember vividly. I loved that picture! It was of Jesus standing at a door and knocking. He was waiting for someone to open it, but not just waiting - instead knocking with his first, earnestly wanting in.

That same picture is painted for us in the book of Revelation where Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Jesus knocks on the door of our hearts. He is waiting for us to open our heart, accept him as Savior and Lord of our life, and have a relationship with Him. He is waiting, but the response to what happens is up to us.

When Christ knocks on the door of your heart, what is your response? I remember the day I gave my life to Jesus as a young girl. The weight lifted off of my small shoulders and I felt freer than I ever had in my life. Have you said YES to the knock on your heart? He wants you to open your heart and allow him into your life.

If you haven’t done this and would like someone to pray with you - please contact me and I would happy to. Today is the the day of salvation!!
