The Dead Church (Sardis)

Being alive in Christ Jesus is so much more than calling ourselves a Christian by name. It is more than going to church. It’s more than doing good. It’s more than being a kind person. It’s about our heart.

What does God say about your heart?

The Legacy of Jochebed

It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command.

Hebrews 11:23

When Life Gives You Lemons

Life can be very unfair and sometimes you face "lemons" or adversities. The story of Joseph reminds us that God is faithful, He never leaves us even when everyone else does, and He always has a plan.

In Genesis 50:20 Joseph said to his brother: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people".

With what you are going through, rest assured, God ALWAYS has a plan.

Jesus, Our Redeemer

“Even before God made the world, he loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.”
Ephesians 1:4-7

Guard Your Heart

“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23

Do You Have Room For Jesus

The innkeeper didn’t. King Herod didn’t. The townspeople didn’t. The pharisees and religious leaders didn’t. The criminal crucified beside him didn’t.

But the real question is: Do YOU have room for Jesus?

Fully Surrendered

This is one of the hardest sermons I ever delivered. I had just lost my precious, nearly 14-year-old Labradoodle, Molly the day before, and my father-in-law the morning of this sermon. However, I pressed through the delivery of this message because I feel it is so important for today that Christians surrender to the Lord in everything.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

No Looking Back

“Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

Jesus in the Storm

We all face storms in life - but how do we get through them, and where do we turn for help? Listen as Melissa shares some of her personal testimony in this sermon.

“ Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
Mark 4:41

Trusting God’s Plan

Listen to this story told from the book of Esther and know that God ALWAYS has a plan and a purpose. His plan for you today is for your good and for His Glory tomorrow.

Are You Ready For That Day?

I had a dream two months ago - God was clearing directly me to speak on a very contraversial topic: The "snatching away" of the bride of Christ or what is commonly called: the Rapture of the Church. He showed me there would be both naysayers and people present who would want to accept Jesus, but would be afraid of what others around them would think. The naysayers, of course, were present and so were the ones who were afraid - as I had some come to me afterwards with those exact words.

In Luke 9:26 Jesus says, "If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels."

There seems to always be those who make fun of this subject. But we cannot throw scripture out of the Bible and make up our own theories. We MUST understand the context in which the scripture was actually spoken to understand the meaning. I am thankful that I was obedient to the Father - no matter how hard it was.

HONOR

“All authority comes from God and when we honor that authority, we are honoring God.”

Isaiah 43:1-2

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up. The flames will not consume you.
